ADA HARRIS
Mrs. Ada Harris, as seen in the episode Double Agent

Mrs. Harris is about 55 years old. Born in London. She visits the cottage every day to clean and sometimes makes small meals (Mrs. Thursday type). She is thoroughly dependable but not very imaginative when it comes to understanding the unusual interests and activities of the McClaine family.

Biographical details taken from the Joe 90 "writers' guide", written by series script editor Tony Barwick and scriptwriter Shane Rimmer based on the format and characters developed by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson. The writers were obviously not very taken with this biography, as the character went on to appear in only four episodes.

Revamp puppet #5A (Ada Harris) was created especially for Joe 90, and made its first (brief) appearance in the episode Three's A Crowd. The character was revamped again for The Secret Service and appeared with longer grey hair in the final episode More Haste Less Speed as Lady Martha Hazlewell; voiced by Keith Alexander!

Sylvia Anderson

Ada Harris' voice was supplied by series co-creator Sylvia Anderson. As well as her creative duties on previous shows, she provided voices for many female characters in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, notably that of Melody Angel. She is probably best known as the voice of Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward in Thunderbirds, Thunderbirds Are Go and Thunderbird 6, and also voiced Doctor Venus in Fireball XL5 and Jimmy Gibson in Supercar.
