In line with the rest of the merchandise produced to tie in with the 1994 BBC screening of Joe 90, the new fortnightly comic featured the revised logo. It also featured an awful lot of re-printed material from Joe 90 Top Secret comic. These stories are indicated by a "TS" number where known.

After only seven issues, and in a move reminiscent of Joe 90 Top Secret and TV21, Joe 90 comic merged with the new Thunderbirds comic at issue 80 - but even that liaison didn't last long. Click here to see how the arrival of Joe 90 was announced in the new Thunderbirds comic No. 79.

the new THUNDERBIRDS (No. 84) A bumper 48 page Christmas special (available from December 24th 1994), featuring a complete Joe 90 story, Rat Trap (reprinted from the 1968 Joe 90 annual), and a profile and cutaway of the U87 World Army Amphibious Transporter (as seen in the episode The Race) - sadly, although the key to the cutaway had numbers, the cutaway itself didn't. One or two confused kids there then. The profile describes how the speed of the transporter was demonstrated when the World Army chief challenged Professor McClaine's Jet Air Car to a race - despite the fact that these events only happened in a dream shared by Joe and Mac after Joe had received Mac's brain patterns. The back cover features an advertisement for telephone collector cards from P & J Promotions, featuring four cards from Joe 90. Click here to see the advertisement. And so, the new Thunderbirds comic came to an end at No. 89. Soon afterwards Thunderbirds Are Go! comic was launched - but crashed and burned after only a handful of issues, as the Thunderbirds phenomenon had finally run out of steam. At least until the year 2000, when the series was re-launched and once again became a huge success.
